Child killed in crash on I-55 on New Year's Day identified as Jennifer Lopez, 12

CHICAGO - A child killed in a crash early New Year's Day on the Stevenson Expressway in Cook County has been identified as Jennifer Lopez, 12.

The crash happened around 3:15 a.m. on I-55 near Chicago's Garfield Ridge neighborhood.

The vehicle rolled over.

Lopez was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the hospital.
