In honor of International Women's Day, the women of Mikerphone in Elk Grove Village are brewing up a special beer.

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. - Some suburban Chicago women are brewing up a beer to help other women.

The brew is a double dry hop/double IPA in honor of International Women's Day on March 8.

Abour half the staff at Mikerphone in Elk Grove are women; the team working on this beer was women-only.

Proceeds will go to the Wings Program to help survivors of domestic abuse.
