
MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. - Extensive delays are expected after a Metra Rock Island train fatally struck a pedestrian Friday morning in Midlothian.
Metra Rock Island train #403 hit a pedestrian around 8:15 a.m. near the Midlothian station, 3750 147th St.
Inbound trains were facing delays of up to 50 minutes, according to Metra. Outbound trains were stopped as of 9 a.m.
The man had a ticket to board a train at the station, the spokesperson said.
