Green Smoke is the shade of the moment – but this tone is certainly nothing new. Instead, the hue was sought after by interior designers in the late 19th century. So, it is perhaps unsurprising this old-age tone has (according to Farrow & Ball) an ‘irresistibly inviting deepness and weathered familiarity.’

Pigeon 

While Green Smoke is set to steal the headlines, Farrow & Ball’s Pigeon is by no means far behind. After receiving 9,630 searches in September 2021, this warm hue has emerged as the second most-sought after green – despite its blue-gray undertones. Farrow & Ball recommend using the shade in darker rooms, such as cloakrooms and studies, to give the space a natural boost.

When it comes to green room ideas, you could do far worse than invest in Mizzle. This cool tone is a lighter version of Pigeon – so it is unsurprisingly a close third.
